Mark Meadows Testifies in Georgia Election Interference Case

Former Trump Chief of Staff Denies Allegations

Meadows Claims Immunity from State Prosecution

Former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows testified in a federal courtroom in Georgia on Monday, denying two of the allegations made against him.

Meadows is accused of racketeering and solicitation of election fraud in connection with his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in the state.

In his testimony, Meadows claimed that he was immune from state prosecution because he was acting within the scope of his employment as a federal official.

The judge hearing the case, however, rejected Meadows' argument, ruling that he did not have immunity from state prosecution.

Meadows' testimony is expected to continue on Tuesday.
